2024 Sportsmen’s Alliance Foundation Mega Raffle: Official Rules
Eligibility, Validity and Other Requirements: Open to residents of Ohio and other states where permitted. Only individuals who are 18 years or older and legal U.S. citizens in states where the charitable raffle is allowed by law may enter. This offer is void where prohibited by law, and all federal, state and local laws and regulations apply. The purchase of raffle tickets does not constitute a charitable donation and, therefore, any purchase is not deductible as a charitable contribution.
Odds of winning the MEGA Raffle depend on the number of tickets sold and are 1 in 10,000 (or less depending on how many are sold) for each individual MEGA Raffle drawing.
Odds of winning the 50/50 drawing are based on the number of tickets sold.
Employees, officers, directors, and trustees of the Sportsmen’s Alliance, the Sportsmen’s Alliance Foundation, their immediate families, and members of their household are not eligible to participate.
Firearms awarded as prizes will be distributed through a licensed dealer and only in compliance with federal and state laws and applicable local ordinances. If a winner is ineligible to receive a prize under relevant federal, state, or local laws and regulations, the prize will be forfeited and no substitution will be provided. In the event a prize is forfeited or unclaimed a new winner will be drawn.
Prize winners will be notified by phone and/or email. The winner will be required to sign and return an affidavit of eligibility and release of liability/publicity, and any required tax and/or identification documents within 15 business days of notification by mail or via DocuSign. If the winner fails to return the required documents within this period, the prize will be forfeited and a new winner will be drawn. Any taxes on prizes are the sole responsibility of the winner.
FFL transfer fees charged by the winner’s designated licensed dealer are the responsibility of the winner. Prizes are non-transferable. There will be no prize substitution. The purchase of tickets constitutes consent for the use of the name and image of the winner by the sponsor. There will be no refunds for tickets purchased. The raffle is being sponsored by the Sportsmen’s Alliance Foundation, 801 Kingsmill Parkway, Columbus, Ohio, 43229. By participating in this raffle, you agree that any claim may be resolved by the sponsor in the form of liquidated damages limited to no more than the cost of the ticket or tickets purchased by the complainant.
Prizes: A full list of prizes can be found at the end of the rules. Unless otherwise specified, there will be no prize substitutions. If a prize winner decides to forfeit an item or is ineligible to receive a prize under relevant state, federal or local laws and regulations, no substitution will be provided. Exception: Should a winner be ineligible to receive a prize solely due to age, a Cabela’s gift card in the amount of Sponsor’s cost for the prize will be substituted.
ENTRY: MEGA Raffle tickets are $100 each with a maximum of 10,000 tickets sold. 50/50 tickets are $25 each and an unlimited number of tickets may be sold. Eligible raffle entrants may purchase tickets by mail, online through the GiveSmart platform or by calling (614) 888-4868.
TAX WITHHOLDING: Prizes are subject to applicable state and federal taxes. Winners agree to abide by and comply with any applicable regulations. By purchasing tickets, participant understands and agrees that certain prizes hereunder may bear a tax liability to the winner under federal and/or state laws of the United States. When required by law, winners will be required to provide social security numbers. Refusal or failure to provide social security numbers when required will result in forfeiture of any and all prizes if not provided within ten days of request. Participant accepts financial responsibility for any and all taxes related to prizes won. Delivery of prizes is conditioned on the timely receipt by The Sportsmen’s Alliance Foundation, Inc. from the winner of any required documentation related to any applicable taxes.
Drawing and Winner: All guns, gear, and other prizes will be given away at the conclusion of the raffle after eligible winners are selected. A full list of prizes can be found here. Upon completion of the drawing a complete winners’ list can be found here. A number can win more than once in the MEGA Raffle. Each raffle ticket will be entered separately for each drawing in the MEGA Raffle. Each ticket has a separate and equal chance to win. There is only one 50/50 Raffle prize winner. There are no physical tickets. MEGA Raffle entry sales will be available from October 1, 2024, through midnight mountain time on December 31, 2024, or until 10,000 tickets are sold. 50/50 entries must be received, or submitted electronically, by 11:59 p.m. mountain time on December 31, 2024. Tickets purchased before midnight mountain time on October 31, 2024, will be entered into 5 additional “Early Bird Drawings.” Winners for those drawings will be announced on or about November 15, 2024. A second “Early Bird” drawing for raffle entries purchased before November 30, 2024 at midnight mountain time for one winner. The winner will be announced on or about December 15, 2024. MEGA Raffle entries must be received, or submitted electronically, by 11:59 p.m. mountain time on December 31, 2024, subject to earlier cut-off once 10,000 entries are received. The winners will be selected by random electronic means and announced on or about January 22, 2025. The ticket number assignment and drawing of winners will be overseen by an independent auditor, whose decisions are final and non-appealable. Upon notification to winners, those individuals will have 15 business days to sign and return an affidavit of eligibility and the release of liability/publicity. Any prize that is declined by the winner will be awarded to a “backup” winner until the prize is accepted. All prize(s) will be awarded regardless of sales.
