Virginia sportsmen will have the opportunity to get involved in their future, and to take a stand against animal extremists and others working to cancel our way of life forever, when the Board of Wildlife Resources holds several committee meetings concerning subjects and issues important to hunters and anglers, including wildlife and boating regulation amendments, a turkey management plan, and a wildlife health update. The Finance, Audit, and Compliance, the Law Enforcement, and the Education, Planning, and Outreach committees will also meet.
The meetings will take place tomorrow, Wednesday, May 21, starting at 9 a.m. at 7870 Villa Park Drive in Henrico with the Wildlife and Boat Committee.
There has never been a more important time in our history than now to protect our way of life. The only way we can slow extremists down is by being more actively involved and engaged in the process of protecting our values, rights, and heritage at every level.
On Thursday, May 22, the Board of Wildlife Resources will be meeting with a public comment opportunity at 9 a.m. at 7870 Villa Park Drive in Henrico to take final action on many of the issues discussed at the previous day’s committee meetings.

The 11-member Board of Commissioners is charged with stewardship responsibilities for the Commonwealth’s wildlife and boating resources on behalf of citizens.
The commissioners must hear from us, the sportsmen, if we want to protect our heritage. Don’t forget to share this meeting alert with your family and friends and encourage them to attend this and future commission meetings in-person or virtual. Urge them to join you and the Sportsmen’s Alliance in standing up to fight, protect, and defend against the relentless attacks from animal extremists. Because if we don’t, the animal extremists are ready to fill the void and we cannot let that happen in the Old Dominion.
The Sportsmen’s Alliance guarantees hunting, fishing and trapping for the American sportsman now and forever. We’re there when sportsmen need us most. We are the only organization specifically created to protect the individual hunter, angler and trapper – no matter the threat. We will never compromise when it comes to defending our way of life in the courts, in the legislatures, in the public square and at the ballot box. We make this promise to the American sportsman: we will never give up and never give in while proudly securing our future against those seeking to destroy our values, beliefs, and traditions.
