Jeff Nations
Chief Financial Officer
Jeff joined the Sportsmen’s Alliance team as Chief Financial Officer in 2020 and brings with him a wide background in both industry and nonprofit. Jeff has primary responsibility for the Finance and Accounting team. His responsibilities cover financial reporting, audit requirements, federal and state legal compliance and risk management. He also oversees our information systems, human resources and facilities management.
Early in Jeff’s career, he focused on financial planning, accounting and treasury. His strengths in structured finance, mergers & acquisitions and organizational planning in large global manufacturing operations made him instrumental in transforming challenged businesses into successful, profitable operations. Following this, Jeff indulged his entrepreneurial spirit by starting his own successful telecom construction business which quickly expanded across the country, building and modifying cellular infrastructure.
Jeff also has a lifetime of executive experience across a variety of nonprofit organizations. Jeff was elected as Grand Master of the Grand Lodge of Missouri, A.F. & A.M. in 1998, and was instrumental in several major but fundamental changes that resulted in the first membership increases in more than 4 decades. Prior to that Jeff was Chairman and President of the Masonic Home of Missouri – a system of skilled and residential medical care and needs-based assistance to thousands of recipients. Jeff was also founding director and president of The Missouri Masonic Foundation for the Prevention of Substance Abuse, Inc. – an organization that received national awards for its statewide K-12 initiatives, which have saved the lives of countless kids across Missouri. Most recently Jeff served as Chief Financial Officer and Chief Administrative officer for the Foundation for Excellence in Women’s Health.
Jeff received his bachelor’s in business administration from the University of Missouri and his Master’s in finance from Webster University.
If you can’t reach Jeff at the office, chances are he’s out on his bass boat conducting “field research” on a variety of species. Jeff also fancies himself as a musician and performer, centered on guitar, keyboard and vocals. Jeff and his wife Janet live in Westerville and enjoy spending time with their kids and grandchildren.
