Built4TheHunt.com, a company dedicated to hunting, fitness and helping people become the best outdoorsman and athlete they can, and Sportsmen’s Alliance have announced a partnership to address an important issue facing the outdoor community and wildlife conservation funding: the decline in hunter participation.
Built4TheHunt.com has created a one-of-a-kind platform featuring unbiased resources for all your hunting and fitness needs. A company with big-picture vision, they take an active role in hunter recruitment and conservation by filming a new hunter on their first hunt each year. The 2019 film release features a first-time hunter’s journey of harvesting a mature cow elk. You can watch the impactful film here. Additionally, B4H is donating a portion of each online transaction to the Sportsman’s Alliance Foundation.
“Partnering with an organization like the Sportsmen’s Alliance whose time and money are genuinely dedicated to preserving the hunting heritage and our way of life was a no-brainer for us when we started the company,” said Mike Atteberry, owner and COO of Built4TheHunt.com. “We want to connect and collaborate with Sportsmen’s Alliance, and put our efforts and experience together to help reach a broader audience and make an impact, not just in the hunting community, but outside the community as well. In order to grow hunting participation, we need to appeal to, and pull from, other communities and backgrounds and the Sportsmen’s Alliance is helping us do just that.”
The Sportsmen’s Alliance and its Foundation have address declines in hunter participation and R3 efforts through several successful programs. One such program, Families Afield, allows new hunters to develop real enthusiasm for hunting before they enroll in a required hunter education class by hunting on a mentor or apprentice hunting license alongside a licensed hunter. To date, Families Afield, a partner program with National Shooting Sports Foundation, National Wild Turkey Federation, National Rifle Association and the Congressional Sportsmen’s Foundation, has created more than 2.2 million mentored hunters in 41 states.
“From our initial conversations with Mike, Jeff and the team from Built4TheHunt.com, we knew the partnership between our organizations was going to be a strong one,” said Sean Curran, vice president of membership and corporate partnerships. “With our combined passion for hunting and never-quit attitude, there’s nothing that can stand in our way when it comes to protecting and advancing our outdoor heritage.”
