On Monday, March 3, the Senate concurred on Senate Bill 23-169, raising the possession and purchase age of a firearm from 18 to 21. SB23-169 will now be sent to Gov. Jared Polis for his consideration. Please use our Take Action button to email the governor and urge him to VETO SB 23-169. This bill is not about stopping crime and protecting communities, it’s about cratering the freedom of law-abiding hunters throughout Colorado.
SB 23-169 raises the age to purchase or possess a firearm to 21 with a list of confusing exemptions that will lead to many 18-to-20-year-old law-abiding citizens being stripped of their right to hunt, shoot and defend themselves.
Don’t forget to share this message with your family, friends and fellow sportsmen and ask them to also email the governor to VETO SB23-169.
