- Fishing (11:00 AM) Annual review of the entire fishing chapter, including season dates, bag limits, licensing, and manner of take.
- Prairie Dog Avocational Take (12:50 PM): Review of potential regulatory updates and a citizen petition to restrict prairie dog take on public lands.
- Preference Point and Fee Adjustments (3:45 PM): Opening discussions on preference point fees for bear, elk, deer, pronghorn, and turkey.
Thursday, September 3rd
- Discussion of the Manner of Take Rule for Furbearers (8:35 AM): Reviewing specific furbearer regulations under C.R.S. 2 CCR 406-3-303.E.
- *General Public Comment (10:20 AM): An open floor for the public to address commissioners directly.
- Executive Session on Furbearer Daily Bag Limits (12:50 PM): Closed-door meeting regarding the formal SAF/SCI legal warning over unscientific furbearer limits.
*NOTE: Starting with this meeting, the Chair has made several changes to the public comment process which are described below.
- Time Cap: The general public comment block is strictly capped at 60 minutes.
- Random Selection: Speakers are drawn at random, eliminating the old first-come, first-served tracking.
- Rationed Access: Time is divided into a two-thirds split, keeping 2/3 for in-person and 1/3 for online speakers.
- No VIP Priority: Elected officials no longer receive early slots or extra speaking time.
