The Michigan Natural Resources Commission is holding a meeting that covers several topics and issues important to sportsmen, including Director reports on small game, fall turkey and deer regulations, waterfowl, coyote hunting, dog training limits on bears, along with a public comment opportunity and more.
This meeting is scheduled for tomorrow, Thursday, April 10, at 9:30 a.m. at the Lansing Community College, west campus rooms M119-121, located at 5708 Cornerstone Drive in Lansing.
The commission consists of seven citizens who are charged with the exclusive authority to regulate the taking of game and sportfish, and is authorized to designate game species and authorize the establishment of the first open season for animals through the issuance of orders.
It is important that the commission must hear from us, the sportsmen, if we want to protect our lifestyle and heritage. If we don’t, you can guarantee that the animal extremists will fill the void. They are already cratering our hunting, fishing, and trapping traditions from the inside out in other states. We cannot let that happen in the Great Lake State.
Share this alert with your family and friends and encourage them to attend this and future commission meetings in-person or virtual. Urge them to join you and the Sportsmen’s Alliance in standing up to fight, protect, and defend against the relentless attacks from animal extremists. The extremists are working tirelessly to crater our rights, values and heritage and we must work harder to ensure they are secure today, tomorrow, and for the future.
The Sportsmen’s Alliance guarantees hunting, fishing and trapping for the American sportsman now and forever. We’re there when sportsmen need us most. We are the only organization specifically created to protect the individual hunter, angler and trapper – no matter the threat. We will never compromise when it comes to defending our way of life in the courts, in the legislatures, in the public square and at the ballot box. We make this promise to the American sportsman: we will never give up and never give in while proudly securing our future against those seeking to destroy our values, beliefs, and traditions.
