Connecticut is looking to go digital with a dog license registration and renewal system. On Wednesday, Feb. 15, the Joint Committee on Environment is scheduled to hold a public hearing on HB 6611 at 11 a.m., virtually and in-person, in room 2B of the Legislative Office Building.
HB 6611 authorizes the issuance of online dog licenses from the Department of Agriculture, in addition to the current process of registering with the town clerk.
For sportsmen who have one dog or several dogs, this legislation will enhance and streamline the dog license registration and renewal process. No longer will you have to wonder what time the town clerk’s office will be open or if someone will be in the office.
Please use our Take Action button to email members of the committee urging them to support this step into the digital age.
