With only 20 days left of the 100th legislative session, South Dakota is not slowing down. Earlier today, the Senate Commerce and Energy Committee unanimously passed Senate Bill 81, an important bill to protect our credit card privacy rights.
SB 81 will now head to the House floor, which could happen as early as tomorrow. Use the Take Action button to email your state Representative and urge them to support sportsmen and vote “Yes” on SB 81.
SB 81 prohibits a financial institution or an agent of a financial institution from using a firearms code in a way that distinguishes a firearms dealer physically located in this state from a general merchandise retailer or a sporting goods retailer located in this state.
As previously reported, gun-control extremists want to uncover who owns firearms in America with this latest tactic of tracking credit card purchases of firearms and ammunition. Gun control fanatics in the legislatures of New York, California and Colorado have already embraced this new “tool” in their ongoing quest to destroy our sportsmen’s rights.
The Sportsmen’s Alliance guarantees hunting, fishing and trapping for the American sportsman now and forever. We’re there when sportsmen need us most. We are the only organization specifically created to protect the individual hunter, angler and trapper – no matter the threat. We will never compromise when it comes to defending our way of life in the courts, in the legislatures, in the public square and at the ballot box. We make this promise to the American sportsman: we will never give up and never give in while proudly securing our future against those seeking to destroy our values, beliefs, and traditions.
