Pro-gun legislators in several states have already introduced and passed legislation that protects and ensures its sportsmen and gun owners’ values and lifestyle. Florida has the opportunity to do the same.
Tomorrow, March 20, at 8 a.m., in room 404 in Sumner Hall, the House Judiciary Committee, is scheduled to hear a bill to return Florida’s age to purchase or transfer a firearm back to 18.
House Bill 759 returns the minimum age to purchase a shotgun or rifle to 18 years old. This is an important recognition that law-abiding adults, including citizens who are 18-20 years old, should not have their Constitutional freedoms restricted when they want to hunt, shoot recreationally, or defend themselves.
Use our Take Action button to email the committee urging them to support the freedom of young adults by voting “Yes” on HB 759.
Do not forget to share this important alert with your family, friends, and fellow sportsmen and gun owners. Urge them to use the Take Action button and to join you and the Sportsmen’s Alliance in standing up to fight, protect, and defend against the rising tide of animal and gun control extremism. The extremists work tirelessly to crater our rights, values and heritage and we must work harder to ensure they are secure today, tomorrow, and for the future.
The Sportsmen’s Alliance guarantees hunting, fishing and trapping for the American sportsman now and forever. We’re there when sportsmen need us most. We are the only organization specifically created to protect the individual hunter, angler and trapper – no matter the threat. We will never compromise when it comes to defending our way of life in the courts, in the legislatures, in the public square and at the ballot box. We make this promise to the American sportsman: we will never give up and never give in while proudly securing our future against those seeking to destroy our values, beliefs, and traditions.
