On Monday, January 22, at 10:30 a.m., in room 156-C, the House Agriculture and Rural Development Committee is scheduled to hear House Bill 1412, a bill with important protections for sporting and hunting dog breeders.
HB 1412 strengthens the standard of care for dogs by commercial dog breeders and brokers, retail pet stores, and animal rescue operations while ensuring hobby breeders, small service dog breeders for police and armed forces, and small sporting and hunting dog breeders are protected from the bureaucratic red tape that a commercial business or animal rescue operation entails.
Hobby breeders and small service, sporting, and hunting dog breeders already have a standard of care above and beyond what any government entity can require.
Please use our Take Action button to contact the members of the committee and urge them to SUPPORT HB 1412.
Don’t forget to forward this alert to your family, friends, and fellow gun owners and ask them to also contact the committee members to support HB 1412.
