How SB 176 Protects Indiana Firearms Traditions
SB 176 prohibits local municipalities from imposing zoning or land-use restrictions on shooting ranges that are more restrictive than state law. This ensures consistency across Indiana and protects existing and future ranges from overly burdensome local regulations that could otherwise force their closure or prevent their establishment.
By standardizing regulations, we can foster a more stable environment for these facilities, which in turn supports hunting and firearm traditions and responsible firearm owners.
