The Pelican State’s 2025 legislative session started April 14, and the bill introduction deadline is 6 p.m. tomorrow, April 23. As in previous years, we expect to see bills covering fishing, hunting, and trapping, as well as firearm ownership and animal welfare.
The other side is pressing to cancel the sportsman’s way of life forever, and even Louisiana is not safe.
Rest assured, the Government Affairs Team of the Sportsmen’s Alliance will keep you informed of any legislation, good or bad, affecting sportsmen and women and our values.
Just as we promise to keep you informed, it is just as important for you to be fully engaged when we alert you about something that requires action on your part. Not only do you take action, but you must reach out to your friends and family to let them know what’s going on and how they can help.
You can view the bills the GA Team will monitor on our interactive map. If votes are taken on any tracked bills, you will soon be able to view those votes at our NEW Sportsmen’s Bill Tracker website. Stay tuned for more information.
Share this alert with your family and friends and encourage them to Take Action when the time comes. Urge them to join you and the Sportsmen’s Alliance in standing up against the rising tide of animal extremists and other radical elements. Working together, we can secure hunting, trapping, and fishing for our children and grandchildren today, tomorrow, and for their future.
The Sportsmen’s Alliance guarantees hunting, fishing and trapping for the American sportsman now and forever. We’re there when sportsmen need us most. We are the only organization specifically created to protect the individual hunter, angler and trapper – no matter the threat. We will never compromise when it comes to defending our way of life in the courts, in the legislatures, in the public square and at the ballot box. We make this promise to the American sportsman: we will never give up and never give in while proudly securing our future against those seeking to destroy our values, beliefs, and traditions.
