Animal extremists and other radical elements are working hard to cancel our way of life forever, and even the Pelican State is not safe. The only way we will slow the extremists down is by being more actively involved and engaged in the process of protecting our values and heritage.
Louisiana sportsmen will have the opportunity to do just that. The Wildlife and Fisheries Commission is holding a meeting with a public comment opportunity at 9:30 a.m. on Thursday, March 6 at the Department headquarters located at 2000 Quail Drive in Baton Rouge or via webinar with public comment capability via Zoom’s Q&A feature. This meeting will cover various subjects and issues important to hunters, including the proposed 2025 – 2027 hunting seasons, bear hunting, Wahoo issues, and black bass regulations.
The seven-member commission is charged with setting seasons, times, places, size limits, quotas, daily take, and possession limits based upon biological data and setting fees for nonresident recreational fishing licenses, among other authorities. This is why the commission must hear from us, the sportsmen, if we want to protect our heritage. If we don’t, you can guarantee that the animal extremists will fill the void. They are already cratering our hunting, fishing, and trapping traditions from the inside-out in other states. We cannot let that happen in our great state.
There has never been a more important time in sportsmen’s history than now to be involved and engaged in protecting our way of life. Share this alert with your family and friends. Urge them to join the fight with you and the Sportsmen’s Alliance. The extremists work tirelessly to crater our rights, values, and heritage and we must work harder to ensure they are secure today and for the future.
The Sportsmen’s Alliance guarantees hunting, fishing and trapping for the American sportsman now and forever. We’re there when sportsmen need us most. We are the only organization specifically created to protect the individual hunter, angler and trapper – no matter the threat. We will never compromise when it comes to defending our way of life in the courts, in the legislatures, in the public square and at the ballot box. We make this promise to the American sportsman: we will never give up and never give in while proudly securing our future against those seeking to destroy our values, beliefs, and traditions.
