On Monday, Mar. 6, at 1:00 p.m. in room 208 of the Cross Building, the Education and Cultural Affairs Committee will take public testimony on a Legislative Document 271, a bill requiring the University of Maine System and the Maine Community College System to offer a for-credit course on hunting, fishing, recreational shooting, and trapping.
Colleges and universities are adding courses related to the outdoors to their curriculum and the Pine Tree State is rich in outdoor activities just waiting to be shared and explored. Use our take action button to email the committee urging them to SUPPORT LD 271 and Maine’s expansive outdoors opportunities.
Don’t forget to share the message with your family, friends, and fellow sportsmen asking them to also email the committee and urge them to support LD 271. Don’t forget to check out our legislative map to see the other issues the Sportsmen’s Alliance is monitoring in Maine and around the nation.
