Tomorrow, Thursday, May 8, at 5 p.m. at the Atlantic County Library located at 306 E Jimmie Leeds Rd in Galloway, the Marine Fisheries Council will hold a public meeting. If you are unable to attend in-person you may also join virtually or via phone.
The council will discuss reports on legislation and regulatory issues, reports from the Atlantic States Marine Fisheries Commission and the Mid-Atlantic Fishery Management Council, a committee report on angler surveys and more.
The council consists of 11 citizens who charged with advising the commissioner on policies of the department and in the planning, development, and implementation of all departmental programs related to marine and shellfish, along with examining, considering and making recommendations in matters pertaining to the conservation and management of fisheries resources throughout the state.
Council members must hear from us, the sportsmen, if we want to protect our lifestyle and heritage. If we don’t, you can guarantee that the animal extremists will fill the void. They are already cratering our hunting, fishing, and trapping traditions from the inside out in other states. We cannot let that happen in the Garden State.
Share this alert with your family and friends and encourage them to attend this and future council meetings in-person or virtual. Urge them to join you and the Sportsmen’s Alliance in standing up to fight, protect, and defend against the relentless attacks from animal extremists. The extremists are working tirelessly to crater our rights, values and heritage and we must work harder to ensure they are secure today, tomorrow, and for the future.
The Sportsmen’s Alliance guarantees hunting, fishing and trapping for the American sportsman now and forever. We’re there when sportsmen need us most. We are the only organization specifically created to protect the individual hunter, angler and trapper – no matter the threat. We will never compromise when it comes to defending our way of life in the courts, in the legislatures, in the public square and at the ballot box. We make this promise to the American sportsman: we will never give up and never give in while proudly securing our future against those seeking to destroy our values, beliefs, and traditions.
