Ohio: Firearm Insurance Bill Hearing Wednesday, March 15

On Wednesday, March 15, at 1:30 p.m. in the North Hearing Room, the Senate Veterans and Public Safety Committee will hold its second hearing on Senate Bill 58. SB 58 prohibits a person from being required to purchase firearms insurance or paying a fee to possess a firearm, firearm components, ammunition, or a knife.

If you have not already emailed the committee, there is still time.  Please use our take action button to email the members of the committee urging them to support SB 58. Criminals will not be purchasing firearm insurance, and law-abiding sportsmen and gun owners should not be made to pay for their firearms freedom.

As previously reported, gun control advocates have been pushing for sportsmen and gun owners to carry firearms insurance. This tactic is nothing more than an attempt to punish us, the law-abiding, for owning a lawful product and making us pay for the criminal acts of others.

Don’t forget to share this message with your family, friends, and fellow sportsmen and urge them to email the committee also.
