Oregon sportsmen will have the opportunity to participate in the rulemaking process surrounding their hunting and fishing rights. On Friday, April 18 at 8 a.m. at the Activity Center at the Winchester Bay RV Resort at Salmon Harbor, located at120 Marina Way in Winchester Bay, the commission is holding a meeting that will cover several topics and issues important to sportsmen, including proposed and adopted wildlife rulemaking, and more.

The commission consists of seven citizens who are charged the responsibility of formulating general state programs and policies concerning management and conservation of fish and wildlife resources and establishes seasons, methods and bag limits for recreational and commercial take.
The commissioners must hear from us, the sportsmen, if we want to protect our heritage. If we don’t, we know the animal extremists will fill the void and they are already working to doing so in the Beaver State. Sportsmen cannot continue to afford to let that happen.
