As previously reported, HB 2235 strengthens the privacy of sportsmen and firearm owners by explicitly barring the public release of several key record types. Under this bill, the following documents are strictly confidential:
- Applications for purchase permits and all supporting documentation.
- Records of firearm transfers and purchase requests.
- Concealed pistol license (CPL) applications and verified safety training certifications.
