The Nebraska Game and Parks Commission will hold an information meeting on Thursday, August 21, at 1 p.m. and a general meeting on Friday, August 22, at 8 a.m. Both meetings will be held at the Mid-Plains Community College conference room, 1205 E 3rd Street in McCook.
Thursday’s agenda will cover a preview of hunting in parks, license and permit fee increases, and more, along with a public comment opportunity.
Friday’s agenda includes staff recommendations on public hearings related to fisheries, wildlife, game birds, furbearer regulations, and more. This meeting will also include a public comment opportunity.
The nine-member board of commissioners needs to hear from us, the sportsmen, to ensure they know where we stand on the vital resources they are charged with conserving and protecting for today and future generations.
Share this alert with your family and friends and encourage them to attend this and future commission meetings. Urge them to join you and the Sportsmen’s Alliance in standing up against the rising tide of animal extremists and other radical elements. Working together, we can secure hunting, trapping, and fishing for our children and grandchildren today, tomorrow, and for their future.
The Sportsmen’s Alliance guarantees hunting, fishing and trapping for the American sportsman now and forever. We’re there when sportsmen need us most. We are the only organization specifically created to protect the individual hunter, angler and trapper – no matter the threat. We will never compromise when it comes to defending our way of life in the courts, in the legislatures, in the public square and at the ballot box. We make this promise to the American sportsman: we will never give up and never give in while proudly securing our future against those seeking to destroy our values, beliefs, and traditions.
