Senate Bill 2540 allows hunting of wild birds with a crossbow. Current law already permits all other forms of archery. This change benefits elderly and disabled hunters who have difficulty with traditional archery equipment. The Senate Judiciary Committee will hear SB 2540 on March 31 at 3 p.m.
House Bill 7762 allows hunters with a concealed carry permit to carry their firearm while deer hunting as long as the pistol is not used for hunting. The House Judiciary Committee will hear this bill on March 30 at 1 p.m.
