It is time for another Texas Parks & Wildlife Commission meeting. This two-day meeting with public comment opportunities begins tomorrow, Wednesday, May 21, at 9 a.m. in the commission hearing room of the Texas Parks & Wildlife Department, located at 4200 Smith School Road, Austin.
Wednesday, May 21, consists of the work session. The agenda will cover various subjects and issues important to hunters and anglers, including implementation of land and water resources conservation and recreation plan, public hunting program, land issues, and more. These items will receive “action” the following day, Thursday, May 22, at the commission meeting. Public testimony will be taken on the items labeled “action” during the commission meeting and limited to three minutes per person.
If you are unable to join in person, you can still join virtually or by phone.
The commissioners must hear from us, the sportsmen, if we want to protect our heritage. Don’t forget to share this meeting alert with your family and friends and encourage them to attend this and future commission meetings in-person or virtual. Urge them to join you and the Sportsmen’s Alliance in standing up to fight, protect, and defend against the relentless attacks from animal extremists. Because if we don’t, the animal extremists are ready to fill the void and we cannot let that happen in the Lone Star State.
The Sportsmen’s Alliance guarantees hunting, fishing and trapping for the American sportsman now and forever. We’re there when sportsmen need us most. We are the only organization specifically created to protect the individual hunter, angler and trapper – no matter the threat. We will never compromise when it comes to defending our way of life in the courts, in the legislatures, in the public square and at the ballot box. We make this promise to the American sportsman: we will never give up and never give in while proudly securing our future against those seeking to destroy our values, beliefs, and traditions.
