Tomorrow, Thursday, February 5, the House Public Safety Subcommittee on Firearms is scheduled to hear HB 1525, a bill that prohibits adults under 21 from purchasing, possessing, or transporting certain firearms.
Please use the Take Action button to email the committee and urge them to vote “No” on HB 1525. This bill penalizes an entire demographic of young adults for the actions of a few and does nothing to address the root causes of violence.
Impact on Legal Gun Ownership
Gun control activists believe this bill is necessary to reduce firearm-related crimes, yet, it does nothing to address true criminal activities. Instead, it systematically penalizes legal adults aged 18 to 20 from legally purchasing, possessing, and transporting legal firearms.
