The Sportsmen’s Alliance has been alerting you about Vermont S. 258 as it moves through the legislature. As introduced, Senate Bill 258 proposed a change in the authority and composition of the Fish & Wildlife Board, while also restructuring the appointment process and banning coyote hunting with dogs.
Earlier today, an amended S.258 passed the Senate by a vote of 21 to 8. Unfortunately, the amendments did little to fix the bill and it still must be opposed by sportsmen. S.258 will move to the House for further consideration. We do not know which committee the bill will be assigned to, but in the meantime please use the Take Action button to email your state Representative asking him/her to OPPOSE S.258.
Don’t forget to share this important alert with your family, friends, and fellow sportsmen. Ask them to use the Take Action button to email their state Representatives urging them to vote “NO” on S. 258.
