With the onset of COVID-19 and the associated stay-at-home restrictions, state fish and wildlife agencies were presented with a host of challenges. In this case, how could they deliver Recruitment, Retention, and Reactivation (R3) event content and stay engaged with their stakeholders when in-person opportunities were generally not available? One solution was to move these learning experiences to the virtual environment. This project seeks to understand and evaluate the differences between in-person and virtual R3 event delivery and make recommendations to agencies that could increase their effectiveness of program delivery.
This report was funded by the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service’s Multi-State Conservation Grant Program which is jointly managed by the Association of Fish and Wildlife Agencies and the Service’s Wildlife and Sport Fish Restoration Program.
Sportsmen’s Alliance and Southwick Associates created a report comparing In-person and Virtual Recruitment, Retention, and Reactivation (R3) events.
