Torin Miller
Associate Litigation Counsel
A lifelong sportsman, Torin has worked exclusively in the hunting and conservation community since graduating from law school, most recently working as the Senior Director of Policy at the National Deer Alliance. In that position, Torin played a critical role in pushing the Chronic Wasting Disease (CWD) Research and Management Act through Congress. He has worked closely with local, state and federal agencies on hundreds of administrative and regulatory issues with respect to wildlife conservation, but always with the American sportsman as his polestar.
Torin brings an extensive educational background with him to SAF, earning undergraduate and graduate degrees in Wildlife and Fisheries Science from Penn State University before specializing in natural resources, environmental and energy law while earning his Juris Doctorate, also at Penn State. His current role is a unique mix of litigation and policy, providing unique perspectives on the interaction between the two and how the Sportsmen’s Alliance can best position itself to promote and defend hunting, fishing and trapping.
When he’s not in the office, Torin is a husband to Kacie and a father to two young kiddos, Theodore and Wren. He spends as much time as possible travelling, camping, fishing, hiking and exploring the outdoors with his family. As a native Pennsylvanian, he’s obsessed with bowhunting mountain whitetails. He’s also an evolving fly-fisherman.
