West Virginia sportsmen will have the opportunity to take action and protect their way of life when the Natural Resources Commission holds a meeting with a public comment opportunity at 1 p.m. on Sunday, February 23, at the Marshall University Memorial Student Center in Huntington. This meeting will cover various subjects and issues important to hunters and anglers, including a legislative update and proposed 2025-26 hunting, fishing and trapping regulations.
The six-member Board of Commissioners serves as an advisory body to the Division of Natural Resources Director on issues related to the conservation of the state’s natural resources, including the protection of fish and game.
The commissioners must hear from us, the sportsmen, if we want to protect our heritage. If we don’t, you can guarantee that the animal extremists will fill the void. Don’t let them upend wildlife management and West Virginia’s storied history of hunting, fishing and trapping as they’ve done in other states.
Share this alert with your family and friends and get a commitment from them to kick in when needed. Join the fight or renew your membership today. When America’s sportsmen stand together, we remain our nation’s most powerful political force. It is time we take back what is ours by ensuring we stay fully engaged in the fight.
The Sportsmen’s Alliance guarantees hunting, fishing and trapping for the American sportsman now and forever. We’re there when sportsmen need us most. We are the only organization specifically created to protect the individual hunter, angler and trapper – no matter the threat. We will never compromise when it comes to defending our way of life in the courts, in the legislatures, in the public square and at the ballot box. We make this promise to the American sportsman: we will never give up and never give in while proudly securing our future against those seeking to destroy our values, beliefs, and traditions.
