The Florida House Judiciary Committee voted 16 to 9 to pass House Bill 759 and to rightfully restore the ability for young adults aged 18- to 20-years-old to purchase a firearm. This important bill will now be sent to the House floor for further consideration.

HB 759 lowers the minimum age to purchase a shotgun or rifle to 18. Pro-gun legislators in several states have already introduced and passed legislation that protects, strengthens, and ensures its sportsmen and gun owners values and lifestyle. HB 759 is Florida’s opportunity to do the same.
