California sportsmen will have the opportunity to stand up and protect their way of life. On Wednesday, April 16, and Thursday, April 17, starting at 8:30 a.m. at the Capitol Event Center located at 1020 – 11th Street in Sacramento, the California Fish and Game Commission is holding a two-day meeting that will cover several topics and issues important to sportsmen, including waterfowl and big game hunting, white sturgeon sport fishing, wildlife and inland fisheries regulation changes, along with a public comment opportunity, and more.
If you are unable to attend in-person, directions on how to participate by Zoom or phone are listed at the top of the agenda.
The commission consists of five citizens who are charged the responsibility for promulgating regulations to manage fishing and hunting, which includes the formulation of general policies for the conduct of the Department of Fish and Wildlife, and setting seasons, bag limits and methods of take for game animals, sport fishing and some commercial fishing.
It is important that the commission hear from us, the sportsmen, if we want to protect what is left of our lifestyle and heritage in the Golden State. Animal extremists are already cratering our hunting, fishing, and trapping traditions from the inside out in other states, like California’s neighbors to the north. We cannot afford to let the destruction of our lifestyle and choices continue to deteriotate in the Golden State.
Share this alert with your family and friends and encourage them to attend this and future commission meetings in-person or virtual. Urge them to join you and the Sportsmen’s Alliance in standing up to fight, protect, and defend against the relentless attacks from animal extremists. The extremists are working tirelessly to crater our rights, values and heritage and we must work harder to ensure they are secure today, tomorrow, and for the future.
The Sportsmen’s Alliance guarantees hunting, fishing and trapping for the American sportsman now and forever. We’re there when sportsmen need us most. We are the only organization specifically created to protect the individual hunter, angler and trapper – no matter the threat. We will never compromise when it comes to defending our way of life in the courts, in the legislatures, in the public square and at the ballot box. We make this promise to the American sportsman: we will never give up and never give in while proudly securing our future against those seeking to destroy our values, beliefs, and traditions.
