The Colorado Parks and Wildlife Commission is meeting on Wednesday, June 11, and Thursday, June 12, to discuss several issues important to sportsmen. Both meeting days begin at 8 a.m. at Hotel Colorado, 526 Pine Street in Glenwood Springs.
Wednesday’s agenda includes updates from the Natural Resources and Agriculture Department and comments from the director, among other things.
Thursday’s agenda includes an update on bobcat research, stakeholder human-bear workshop, and program overviews on small game management, waterfowl and migratory bird management, with a general public comment period in the afternoon.
You can watch the meeting live on YouTube if you cannot attend.
Commission members need to know sportsmen are engaged, because when we are not, it makes it easier for animal extremists and other radical elements to fill the void. And, as we all know, Colorado is no stranger to attacks wreaking havoc on our lifestyle.
That is why there has never been a more important time than now for Colorado sportsmen to be engaged in the process. We are the only ones who can promote and protect our values, rights, and heritage. Sportsmen cannot let what is happening in Washington happen in Colorado.
Don’t forget to share this meeting alert with your family and friends and encourage them to attend this and future commission meetings in-person or virtual. Urge them to join you and the Sportsmen’s Alliance in standing up to fight, protect, and defend against the relentless attacks from animal extremists.
The Sportsmen’s Alliance guarantees hunting, fishing and trapping for the American sportsman now and forever. We’re there when sportsmen need us most. We are the only organization specifically created to protect the individual hunter, angler, and trapper – no matter the threat. We will never compromise when it comes to defending our way of life in the courts, in the legislatures, in the public square and at the ballot box. We make this promise to the American sportsman: we will never give up and never give in while proudly securing our future against those seeking to destroy our values, beliefs, and traditions.
