On Monday, March 6, at 9 a.m. in room 2C, the Joint Judiciary Committee has scheduled a public hearing on a gun control bill of serious concern to sportsmen and gun owners.
House Bill 6816 prohibits the sale of ammunition and magazines to anyone under the age of 21, with no exemptions for hunting, self-defense or shooting competitions. In addition, the bill prohibits handguns without microstamping capabilities to be sold in the state four years after certification by the Commissioner of Emergency Services and Public Protection.
HB 6816 is nothing more than gun-control advocates trying to sell “feel-good” legislation as doing something for public safety. In reality, this legislation only adds more restrictions to owning a firearm for law-abiding sportsmen and gun owners. Please use are take action button to contact the members of the committee urging them to OPPOSE HB 6816.
Don’t forget to share this message with your family, friends, and fellow sportsmen urging them to also contact the committee urging them to OPPOSE HB 6816.
