On Friday, March 10, at 11:30 a.m., in room 2B, the Joint Environment Committee will hold a public hearing on Senate Bill 1149. SB 1149 removes the prohibition of hunting on Sunday on public and private land.
Connecticut currently has limited hunting on Sundays and there’s no reason not to extend the opportunity to more hunters in the state.
With many families facing busy schedules with long work weeks and extracurricular school activities taking place on Saturday, allowing Sunday hunting statewide gives everyone the opportunity to extend time with family and friends engaged in our time-honored outdoor traditions.
