As previously reported, gun control extremists are working to uncover who owns firearms in America. The latest tactic is to track credit card purchases of firearms and ammunition. Gun-control fanatics in the legislatures of New York, California and Colorado embraced this new “tool” in their ongoing quest to destroy our sportsmen’s rights by passing this legislation and sending it to their governors, who promptly signed it into law.
On Wednesday, January 29, the Arizona Senate Public Safety Committee took steps to ensure that does not happen in the Grand Canyon State. The committee voted 4 to 3 to recommend a “Do Pass” on Senate Bill 1143, an important bill to protect sportsmen’s credit card privacy rights.

SB 1143 prohibits payment card network from requiring or incentivizing the use of a merchant category code in a manner that distinguishes a firearm retailer from other retailers.
