Earlier today, we informed you of the bad bills you helped stop in Tennessee. This alert requires action to help ensure three good bills protecting sportsmen continue through the legislative process.
House Bill 2762 / Senate Bill 2223, the “Second Amendment Financial Privacy Act,” protects credit card purchase privacy of Tennessee sportsmen.
HB 2762 / SB 2223 prohibits a financial institution or its agents from using a firearms merchant category code (MCC) by a firearms retailer physically located in this state in a manner that distinguishes a firearms retailer from a general merchandise retailer or a sporting goods retailer.
The House Commerce Committee is scheduled to hear HB 2762 tomorrow, March 19, at 9 a.m., while SB 2223 can be heard on the Senate floor any day. Please use both Take Action buttons to ensure the House Commerce Committee and your state Senator receive your request to vote “Yes” on the respective bill before them.

House Bill 2263 is headed to Governor Bill Lee for consideration. HB 2263 will strengthen hunting, angling, trapping, and boating in the Volunteer State.
HB 2263 requires Fish and Wildlife Commission appointees to be actively involved in activities regulated by the commission, including hunting, angling, trapping and boating. The bill does not stop there it also states that the commission and the agency shall support and promote hunting, angling, and trapping, including the management of predators through hunting and trapping, as preferred methods of wildlife management and conservation.
