Last week, the Hawai’i legislature was busy pushing anti-sportsmen legislation through to the next chamber. Senate Bill 682 and House Bill 426 each passed their respective house of origin, and the legislature is not wasting time scheduling these bills for their next hearings. Please use each of our take action buttons to ensure each committee receives your email urging them to OPPOSE the legislation that is before them.
Today, March 16, at 2:00 pm, in conference room 325, the House Judiciary & Hawaiian Affairs Committee is scheduled to hear Senate Bill 682, the bill to ban the sale of fur in Hawaii. Please use our take action button to email the committee urging them to OPPOSE SB 682.
Senate Bill 682 passed the Senate and prohibits the sale, offer for sale, display for sale, trade, or distribution of certain animal fur products in the State.
Tomorrow, March 17, 3:00 p.m., in conference room 225, the Senate Public Safety & Intergovernmental & Military Affairs Committee is scheduled to hear House Bill 426, the bill authorizes the Attorney General and others to sue firearms manufacturers for the violent acts of third parties. Please use our take action button to email the committee urging them to OPPOSE HB 426.
House Bill 426 will cripple the firearm industry by instituting new policies and procedures that will make it nearly impossible to engage in the lawful sale and/or trade of firearms in the state. This is bad policy motivated by those who simply want to destroy the sporting community because they know that if the industry cannot engage in lawful commerce, hunters and sport shooters cannot hunt and shoot.
Don’t forget to share this email with your family, friends, and fellow sportsmen urging them to OPPOSE SB 682 and HB 426.
