Tomorrow, Wednesday, February 26, at 8 a.m., an important pro-sportsmen bill is scheduled to be heard in the Utah Senate Government Operations and Political Subdivisions Standing Committee.
House Bill 133 makes several technical clarifications and enhancements to Utah’s firearm laws, including the strengthening of Utah’s firearm preemption law to include ammunition and firearm accessories. This specific enhancement will add ammunition and firearm accessory to the list of items local and state government entities may not prohibit individuals from owning, possessing, purchasing, selling, transferring, transporting or keeping at a place of residence, property, business or in any vehicle lawfully in the individual’s possession or lawfully under the individual’s control in which the individual is lawfully present.
Use our Take Action button to email the committee urging them to support sportsmen and vote “Yes” on HB 133. Animal extremists and gun-control activists are using every possible avenue to disarm law-abiding sportsmen and gun owners. HB 133 is needed now to protect against the rising tide of those who want to crater our values and lifestyle.
Don’t forget to share this email with your family, friends, and fellow sportsmen. Ask them to Take Action and email the committee urging them to vote “Yes” on HB 133. The opposition works tirelessly to eliminate our rights, values and heritage and we must work harder to ensure they are secure today and for the future.
