On Wednesday, April 3, at 4:00 p.m., the Rhode Island Senate Committee on Environment and Agriculture scheduled Senate Bill 2732, a bill that could ban hunting in Rhode Island, for consideration.
As previously reported, this vaguely written bill prohibits hunting where man-made structures and/or natural barriers limit an animal’s free movement. It is anyone’s guess what “man-made structures and/or natural barriers” mean. It, obviously, would include roads, rivers, streams, hills, canals, fences, and an infinite multitude of other “obstacles” that exist everywhere in the state.
Please use the Take Action button to email the committee members and urge them to vote “No” on S.2732. Laws are supposed to be clear and concise because, left to interpretation, they turn the law-abiding into criminals, and in this case, will ban hunting across the state.

Remember to share this alert with your family, friends, and fellow sportsmen. Encourage them to Take Action by emailing the committee urging them to vote “No” on S.2732.
