The hunting and shooting community has long supported firearm safety training for younger Americans. To ensure our children receive the best instruction regarding firearm safety, HB 2304 will be heard at 9 a.m. in room 346-S in the House Committee on Federal and State Affairs, next Tuesday, Feb. 21.
HB 2304 establishes curriculum guidelines for a standardized firearm safety education program, based on the NRA’s Eddie Eagle gun-safe program, the hunter education program offered by the Kansas Department of Wildlife and Parks, or instruction currently certified in schools for such purposes.
Please use our take action button to email the committee urging them to support grade-appropriate firearm safety education in our schools by supporting HB 2304.
