Maryland is one of seven states that is working to give its hunters one more day or one more full day to enjoy the outdoors during the short hunting season on Sunday.
On Tuesday, Feb. 27, in room 2 of the West Miller Senate Building, the Senate Education, Energy and the Environment Committee is scheduled to take testimony on Senate Bill 847.
SB 847 repeals the time restriction that applies to Sunday hunting in Dorchester County.
This bill expands the hunting opportunity of sportsmen and youth hunters to allow a full day of hunting. Currently, hunting can only take place from 30 minutes before sunrise until 10:30 a.m.
Please use our Take Action button to email the committee members asking them to support HB 847.
Don’t forget to share this with your family, friends, and fellow sportsmen. Ask them also to contact the committee members urging them to support HB 847.
