As sportsmen, we rely on the North American Model of Wildlife Conservation, a system of policies and laws, to restore and safeguard fish and wildlife and their habitats through sound science and active management. The Model was designed to remove political influence from wildlife management, putting the needs of wildlife resources in the hands of professional biologists and not the constantly changing political environment that exists in state capitals.
Animal rights activists are working extremely hard to destroy the North American Model of Wildlife Conservation by removing wildlife and wildlife management decisions from professional wildlife biologists.
The Senate Energy and Natural Resources Committee will be holding a hearing tomorrow, Tuesday, January 9th, at 9:00 a.m. in State House hearing room 103 on two bills that, if passed, will give animal rights extremists exactly what they want, the undermining of the North American Model. Both SB 548-FN and SB 346-FN remove the state’s trained biologists from the decision-making process managing the population and management tools that can be used concerning gray squirrels and coyotes. We, as sportsmen, cannot let that happen.
SB 548-FN removes gray squirrels from the definition of game animals.
SB 346-FN prohibits the use of dogs while hunting coyotes.
Please use our Take Action button to email the members of the committee urging them to OPPOSE SB 548-FN and SB 346-FN and continue to allow the professionals to manage the Granite State’s wildlife population.
Don’t forget to share this alert with your family, friends, and fellow sportsmen and ask them to also Take Action to OPPOSE SB 548-FN and SB 346-FN.
