With the Thanksgiving holiday over, the New Jersey Senate is back to work restricting freedom by scheduling two highly flawed gun bills to be heard in the Senate Budget and Appropriation Committee on Monday, Dec 5. The meeting will be held at 1 p.m. in Committee Room 4, 1st floor State House Annex in Trenton.
It is imperative that you use the TAKE ACTION button below to email the members of the Senate Budget and Appropriations Committee today and urge them to OPPOSE both A4769 and S3214. Make sure you tell your family, friends, and fellow sportsmen to do the same.
As previously reported, A4769 passed the Senate on a party-line vote and several weeks ago, companion bill S3214, passed the Senate Law and Public Safety Committee also on a party-line vote.
“The sponsors of these bills claim they want to address handgun violence and that these laws are necessary to keep people safe after the Supreme Court’s Bruen decision,” said Todd Adkins, vice president of government affairs for Sportsmen’s Alliance. “In reality, they greatly restrict the purchases of all firearms, including hunting rifles and shotguns, because they limit who can receive a Firearm Purchaser Identification Card.”
The 2022 legislative session adjournment is right around the corner, and we know the Assembly Democrats are determined to railroad firearm owners before the session ends. Make sure your voice is heard on A4769 and S3214 by sending an email to the members of the Senate Budget and Appropriations Committee IMMEDIATELY.
