Yesterday, the New Jersey Senate Democrats narrowly passed their deceptive “public safety” bill by a vote of 21 to 16. Twenty-one is the minimum number of votes needed for a bill to pass the Senate. Sadly, the serious flaws pointed out by Republicans during the legislative process fell on deaf ears at every hearing. A4769 will now go to Governor Phil Murphy, who has vowed to sign the bill into law swiftly.
The Sportsmen’s Alliance applauds the Republican Assemblymembers and Senators who stood up for New Jersey’s hunters, shooters, and gun owners.
Don’t forget to ask your family, friends, and fellow sportsmen to let their voices be heard on this bill.
