Last Thursday, May 4, was crossover day for the North Carolina legislature. Crossover means that if a bill did not pass out of its house of origin, then it is essentially defeated for the year.
North Carolina’s 2023 legislative session has been quiet for sportsmen. We have only reported on one bill of interest to sportsmen, House Bill 564. Unfortunately, H 564, the bill to protect sportsmen’s credit card purchase privacy, failed to make it through crossover.
The Sportsmen’s Alliance will continue to monitor the legislative session and alert our members and supporters on matters of interest. Please take a moment to check out our legislative map to see all the bills the Sportsmen’s Alliance is monitoring in the Tarheel State and around the nation.
