The Beaver State is no stranger to the animal and gun-control extremists working to cancel our way of life. Yesterday, Thursday, March 27, the Senate Judiciary Committee held a public hearing on Senate Bill 243, a heavily amended background check study placeholder bill that now includes elements from other bills of serious concern to sportsmen. The bill is now scheduled for a work session on Thursday, April 3. Use the Take Action button to email and urge the committee to vote “No” on SB 243.
SB 243 originally was a placeholder bill with language that would have required the Department of State Police to study the efficiency of firearm transfer criminal background checks. SB 243 now has been amended with language from:
SB 697 prohibiting a person under 21 years of age from possessing firearms.
SB 429 prohibiting a firearm dealer from transferring a firearm or unfinished frame or receiver until 72 hours have elapsed from the time the gun dealer requested a criminal background check.
SB 243 is simply gun control gone wild, with no connection to the real world or even tangible reduction of violent crime as a plausible rationale for such a draconian move.
There has never been a more important time in our history than now to protect our way of life. The only way we will be able to slow the animal and gun control extremists down is by being more actively involved and engaged in the process of protecting our values, rights, and heritage at every level.
Share this email with your family, friends, fellow sportsmen and gun owners and encourage them to use the Take Action button to urge the committee to vote “No” on SB 243. Ask them to also join you and the Sportsmen’s Alliance in standing up to fight, protect, and defend against the relentless attacks from animal extremists. The extremists work tirelessly to crater our rights, values and heritage and we must work harder to ensure they are secure today, tomorrow, and for the future.
The Sportsmen’s Alliance guarantees hunting, fishing and trapping for the American sportsman now and forever. We’re there when sportsmen need us most. We are the only organization specifically created to protect the individual hunter, angler and trapper – no matter the threat.
