Last month, the House Committee on Environment & Natural Resources held House Bill 7294, a bill to ban hunting, for further study. Tomorrow, Senate Bill 2732, the identical bill to H.5864, is scheduled to be heard at 4:00 p.m. in the Senate Committee on Environment & Agriculture.
As previously reported, H.7294 and now S.2732, identical to last year’s, House Bill 5864, and Senate Bill 607 prohibit hunting where man-made structures and/or natural barriers limit an animal’s free movement.
Like last year, anyone can guess what “man-made structures and/or natural barriers” mean. This obviously includes roads, rivers, streams, hills, canals, fences, and an infinite multitude of other “obstacles” that exist everywhere in the state.
Please use the Take Action button to email the committee members and urge them to vote “No” on S.2732. Laws are supposed to be clear and concise because, left to interpretation, they turn the law-abiding into criminals, and in this case, will ban hunting across the state.

Remember to share this alert with your family, friends, and fellow sportsmen. Encourage them to Take Action by emailing the committee members urging them to vote “No” on S.2732.
Sportsmen throughout the state must stay actively involved to help defend our hunting, fishing, and trapping heritage for present and future generations.
