South Dakota legislators are not playing around working to pass Senate Bill 39 to ensure the protection of sportsmen from Homeowners’ Association (HOA) restrictions. Last week, SB 39 passed the Senate Commerce and Energy Committee by a vote of 8 to 1 and was sent to the Senate the next day, where it overwhelmingly passed by a vote of 30 to 3.
TODAY, January 23rd, at 11:00 a.m., in room 464, the House Commerce and Energy Committee, is scheduled to hear Senate Bill 39.
This important bill prohibits a homeowners’ association from placing restrictions on firearms or firearm ammunition.
As previously reported, there are some HOAs who think they are above this law and are trying to pass their own prohibitions and restrictions against lawful sportsmen and gun owners. Please use our Take Action button below to email the members of the committee asking them to SUPPORT SB 39 to ensure sportsmen are protected from HOA regulations.
Don’t forget to share this alert with your family, friends, and fellow sportsmen asking them to also email the committee members urging them to support SB 39.
