Both House Bill 2263 and its companion bill, Senate Bill 2039, are working to strengthen hunting, angling, and trapping in the Volunteer State. These are eligible to be heard on their respective house floors tomorrow, Thursday, March 14th.
HB 2263 / SB 2039 requires Fish and Wildlife Commission appointees to be actively involved in activities regulated by the commission, including hunting, angling, trapping, and boating. The bill does not stop there it also states that the commission and the agency shall support and promote hunting, angling, and trapping, including the management of predators through hunting and trapping, as preferred methods of wildlife management and conservation.
Please use Take Action buttons to email your state Senator and Representative asking them to vote “Yes” to the respective bill before them. Let them know this is exactly the kind of legislation needed to ensure hunting, angling, and trapping is protected for present and future generations to enjoy.
Make sure you use both Take Action buttons as sportsmen need both bills to pass their house of origin to become law.
