A longtime supporter of the Sportsmen’s Alliance mission to protect hunting, fishing and trapping from the animal-rights movement, Vortex® recently increased their backing of the stalwart non-profit by renewing their Business Partner membership at the Leader’s Club level.
Based in Barneveld, Wis., Vortex® has long been an ally for the Sportsmen’s Alliance as a Chairman’s Club member and frequent contributor to fundraising events and activities. The jump to Leader’s Club level will help protect the passions of sportsmen in all 50 state capitols and courtrooms nationwide as animal-rights activists and organizations file legislation and lawsuits to end scientific wildlife management.
”At Vortex®, we stand firmly behind work by the Sportsmen’s Alliance to protect our heritage as sportsmen and women and find creative ways to get new people interested in an outdoor lifestyle,” said Sawyer Briel, Marketing Communications Manager. “Whether through conservation, education or advocacy initiatives, we look forward to continued work with the Sportsmen’s Alliance in 2021 and are excited for what the future holds.”
Founded by Dan and Margie Hamilton in 2002, and originally started as a small outdoor retail store in Middleton, Wis., Vortex® has grown into a larger team of team members who work diligently to provide customers with the best products and customer service in the optics industry.
The Sportsmen’s Alliance protects America’s wildlife conservation programs and the pursuits – hunting, fishing and trapping – that fund the North American Model of Wildlife Conservation from attacks by the animal-rights movement. The Sportsmen’s Alliance Foundation is responsible for public education, legal defense and research. Its mission is accomplished through several distinct programs coordinated to provide the most complete defense of the industry possible.
“Sportsmen’s Alliance has a lot of good things happening in 2020 even though we struggled with event-based fundraising due to restrictions across the United States,” said Brian Dowler, vice president of membership for Sportsmen’s Alliance. “Vortex® stepped up to help us by donating prizes for our Mega Raffle earlier this year and made the commitment to double their support for our programs. We could not continue to fight for hunters, anglers and trappers without the support of our industry partners this year and every year. We look forward to a long-lasting partnership and thank Vortex for everything they did this year to help us through very challenging times.”
