The Sportsmen’s Alliance has long fought to protect our firearms freedom, understanding that restricting the right of America’s law-abiding citizens to own, use, and possess firearms is also a direct attack on our hunting heritage and must be opposed. In recent years, gun control extremists have continued their relentless assault on the Second Amendment, including restricting law-abiding hunters in what guns they can own, what type of ammunition they can use, how much tax they should pay for violent crime, and even throwing them into databases for “study” and future abuse by overzealous politicians, bureaucrats, and corporate elites.
The data is clear. States with the most extreme gun control also have the lowest hunter numbers. The extremists know that the more red-tape, over-regulation, and increased cost they can heap on the American hunter, especially on the firearms and ammunition they use, the sooner our entire hunting heritage is cratered to the point of oblivion. Gun control is never about public safety, it is always about destroying our way of life one slice at a time.
The Sportsmen’s Alliance will remain vigilant on Second Amendment issues and will continue to fight at all levels of government to ensure that America’s firearms freedom is protected for future generations and that the American hunter remains free to exercise their Second Amendment rights while in the field.
