On Tuesday, March 28, Gov. Hobbs vetoed Arizona Senate Bill 1096. SB 1096 would have prohibited a public entity from entering into a contract of $100,000 or more with businesses unless the contract includes a written certification that the business does not, and will not, discriminate against a firearm entity or firearm trade association.
The Sportsmen’s Alliance thanks all the state Senators and Representatives that supported SB 1096. Even with this unfortunate setback, sportsmen throughout the Grand Canyon State must continue to stay actively involved to defend our hunting, fishing and trapping heritage for present and future generations to enjoy.
The Arizona 2023 legislative session is not over yet, and the Sportsmen’s Alliance will continue to monitor the session.
